Well, I guess this is a start. I will admit, I never imagined that i would have a blog. Yes, my mother has told me about hers and Friends of Brooksvale's, but my own? No. But yet *sigh* here I am writing. What with Facebook out there these days, what is the need for a blog? But looking at my family and my friend's, i started thinking how it might be cool to have a place to let your thoughts out where nice people can here. Obviously these would be my thoughts, so we are back to the title. Oh Boy. A Blog. Blogs are interesting, I think. The correct definition?
Blog: n. A Weblog.
intr.v. blogged, blog-gging, blogs
To write entries in, add material to, or maintain a webbing
Well that is quite a handful. Is that what we really do on here? Write entries and add material to? Do we really maintain a webbing? Some could say that. We write our live stories on here, the way God plans it for us. We write about our problems and our trials. We talk about friends and family, and the latest things we notice around us. Blogging. Recently reading Elizabeth Bell's blog, I wondered how she could write all of that? How could she write in that format and sound so..so.. so good? But now I realize it is your heart and your mind writing, not your fingers or your knowledge. I do not know how often I will be able to write on here, or how I will fill the space and make it interesting to read, for my fellow followers out there. I guess I will deal with that when it comes and when it pops into my head. I am so looking forward to that. :)
What I know is what I write. I write the truth and I wrete what I know. What I know is many things, for instance, I know the estimated number of pi. I know how to say hello in French. I know how to convert grams to moles in chemistry. Our brains are filled with all sorts of stuff. Little closets that are locked up and stored for later, and draws that are wide open for right now. I imagine our brain with many nooks and crannies so we stuff things in the little holes and anywhere we can fit it. You know the pictures they show of our brains? They show little lines and creases in the sides and back and front that look like little worms. Imagine those little creases, bursting over with words and numbers. Or better yet, imagine my sister's dresser draws. Of course some of you may not have ever seen it, but I know my mother and I have, maybe even some of my friends. Her draws are always open, overflowing and every little space stuffed with shirts and socks. Most of her clothes are on the ground for easy access :). That would be our brains. The most recent things we use and know the best are on "the ground." The things we have not used in forever are the T-shirts that your aunt gives you that you never wear. Your favorite pants are the information and maybe even movie quotes we like to use the best. The things we are most comfortable with.
How did I even get started talking about brains and clothes?
Wow. look at that. I actually completed my first blog. Ah. Sweet Victory. Hopefully after this it will get easier and my blog content will continue to improve.
Stick around for a while.
